Cambria, CA

On the central coast and possibly one of my favorite places off Highway 1. Quiet, misty, near other nice spots like San Luis Obispo and Paso Robles, with its own nice set of quaint restaurants and the beautiful Moonstone Beach. ~4 hours from LA.
