Lost Palms Oasis

This hike is at the Cottonwood entrance of the park - way out toward Indio. If you’re coming from either of the park entrances off Hwy 62, it’s a good 1.5-hour drive through the park to get to this, and then the hike itself is another ~3-4 hours. But of course that drive is amazing, and the hike is incredibly beautiful, with lots of different elevations and plant life, views of the Salton Sea and (at the end) the massive canyon with the Lost Palms Oasis in the middle of it. After this hike, recommend leaving the park through the Cottonwood gate, getting back on the 10 West, and having dinner at Delicias (Desert Hot Springs) or Spaghetti Western (Morongo Valley).
